The Shahbibi Healthcare Centre, an initiative of the Natha Foundation, is committed to delivering free, high-quality eye care to underserved communities. With over 5,000 successful cataract surgeries in Sehwan Sharif and 6,000 in Karachi, we focus on restoring not just sight, but lives. Our services include free cataract operations, medicines, and eyeglasses, ensuring complete post-surgery support. We actively monitor interior Sindh and interior Balochistan to identify underserved areas where no health facilities exist. From these remote villages, we transport patients to our healthcare centres, where we cover the entire cost of their treatment — including transportation, surgeries, medications, and post-operative care. In addition to medical support, we place strong emphasis on health awareness, educating communities to encourage long-term wellness and disease prevention. Special attention is given to daily wage workers and laborers who had to leave their jobs due to impaired vision. After surgery, many return to work with renewed confidence and ability. Our commitment to patient satisfaction drives every step of our process, from diagnosis to recovery, ensuring compassionate and effective care for all — regardless of their financial status.In addition to medical services, the camps also provide basic hygiene kits and distribute medicines to patients in need. The foundation’s volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that every patient receives the care and attention they require. These free healthcare camps are an essential part of the NATHA Foundation’s mission to improve the health and well-being of underprivileged communities in Karachi. By providing access to quality medical services, education on preventive measures, and basic hygiene kits, the foundation is helping to address healthcare disparities and promote healthier living in the community.

Message By The Chairman

Ramzan Natha

Carrying the vision of providing accessible medical care to all, we established Shahbibi Healthcare Center—an institution for everyone. I’m honored to serve as its CEO. Named after my mother-in-law, Shahbibi, to honor her legacy in healthcare, we aim to offer cost-effective services promoting health as a basic human right. Our goal is to maintain WHO hygiene standards with a compassionate staff and skilled professionals using modern equipment where needed. Our advanced technology and qualified experts reinforce the reliability of our healthcare system.

We offer services across various departments including gynecology, internal medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, ENT, and pediatrics. Our main clinic is in Garden East, Karachi, with two more branches in Sehwan Sharif and Sultanabad. We’re working diligently to grow this initiative into a lasting institution, true to our motto: “We care about your health.”

Phacoemulsification – (modern cataract surgery method) with the help of advanced machinery, we perform a minimal invasive surgery under aseptic measures, that promotes early healing and reduces the chances of complications.

Pterygium Excision

Pterygium removal with mitomycin c (mmc) under aseptic measures.

Posterior Capsular Opacification Removal

Secondary cataract surgery removal done by a latest yag machine Dissipating hazy and blurry vision developing after cataract surgery through an outpatient procedure which results in an almost immediate improvement of vision.

Lasik

We also correct vision of those who are near sighted, farsighted or have astigmatism.

Corneal Transplant

Implantation of a new cornea provided to us by a donor in patients who struggle with vision problems caused by corneal opacity.

Dental Department

Scaling & Polishing

A dental process that involves removing the calculus deposits or stains on the teeth. This procedure when performed on root surface is called root planning. Polishing is done afterwards for smoothing the surface of teeth.

Crown & Bridges

An artificial replacement that restores missing tooth structure by surrounding part or all of remaining tooth structure with a material such as metal, porcelain or combination of materials such as PFM (porcelain fused to metal)

Denture

A dental prosthesis designed to replace missing teeth in partially or completely edentulous areas. This helps restore oral function and aesthetics. It can be removable or fixed depending on patient needs.

Root Canal

This procedure is done when filling is not enough for cleaning the decayed portion. It is a treatment sequence for the infected pulp of a tooth which includes extirpation of inflamed pulp.

Filling

A dental procedure used to restore the decayed or damaged parts of a tooth caused by cavities. The decayed portion is removed and replaced with filling material. This helps in regaining the normal function and shape of the tooth.

Orthodentic Treatment

Orthodontic treatment helps in aligning or repositioning teeth to enhance dental aesthetics and function. Braces or aligners are used to gradually move teeth into place. This improves the bite and overall oral health.
