The foundation offers complimentary and fee-based cataract surgeries at the Shahbibi Healthcare Centre, which is located in Sehwan Shareef, a town in the Sindh province of Pakistan. Cataracts are a common eye condition that can cause blurry vision and even blindness if left untreated, particularly in the elderly population.
It uses the latest technology, such as biometry, to provide accurate and efficient eye care services to patients. Biometry is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure that measures various parameters of the eye, such as the length of the eye, the curvature of the cornea, and the depth of the anterior chamber, to determine the correct power of intraocular lenses (IOLs) required for cataract surgery.
